How to display date and time on iphone home screen
If you want to display the date, time and location of your iPhone’s current position on your home screen, you can use a handy little tweak called StatusHUD.
This tweak will add a small overlay to your home screen that shows the date, time and your current location. You can also customize the color of the overlay and the font size.
To install StatusHUD, you will need to add a new repository to your Cydia sources. To do this, open Cydia and tap on the Sources tab. Tap on the Edit button and then tap on the Add button. In the text field that appears, type in the following URL:
http://cydia.myrepospace.com/kaneiscool/
Once the repository has been added, tap on it and then search for the StatusHUD tweak. Install the tweak and then restart your device.
Once you have installed the StatusHUD tweak, you will need to configure it. To do this, open the Settings app and go to the StatusHUD preferences. Here, you can enable or disable the tweak and change the color of the overlay. You can also change the font size to small, medium or large.
Once you have configured the tweak, you will see the date, time and location overlay on your home screen. Tap on the overlay to dismiss it.
StatusHUD is a handy little tweak that can come in handy if you want to quickly check the date, time or your current location. It’s also highly customizable, so you can change the color of the overlay and the font size to suit your needs.
Add a world clock widget to your home screen
If you travel frequently or have friends and family in different time zones, a world clock widget can be a handy addition to your home screen. With this widget, you can quickly check the current time in multiple time zones at a glance.
There are many world clock widgets available on the App Store, but we recommend using the World Clock Widget by Samir Makharia. This widget is highly customizable and allows you to add as many time zones as you want.
To add the widget, tap and hold on any empty space on your home screen. Tap on the Widgets button and scroll down to the World Clock Widget. Tap on the widget to add it to your home screen.
Once the widget has been added, tap on it to configure it. You can add or remove time zones, change the order of the time zones and even set a custom name for each time zone.
Change your phone’s wallpaper to match the current time of day
If you want your iPhone’s wallpaper to change automatically throughout the day, you can use a jailbreak tweak called TimeWall. This tweak will change your wallpaper based on the current time of day.
TimeWall is a free jailbreak tweak and is available from the BigBoss repository. To install it, open Cydia and tap on the Sources tab. Tap on the Edit button and then tap on the Add button. In the text field that appears, type in the following URL:
http://cydia.myrepospace.com/kaneiscool/
Once the repository has been added, tap on it and then search for the TimeWall tweak. Install the tweak and then restart your device.
Once you have installed the TimeWall tweak, you will need to configure it. To do this, open the Settings app and go to the TimeWall preferences. Here, you can enable or disable the tweak and select a schedule for the wallpaper changes.
Those are three ways you can display the date, time and location on your iPhone’s home screen. Give them a try and let us know which one is your favorite.
