Microsoft released Windows 10 yesterday, and according to Steam’s statistics the upgrade has been overwhelmingly successful. Using data from January 1st until now (January 15th), it was revealed that 8% of all active Steam users have upgraded to Windows 11. That figure is up from 3% a few weeks ago and indicates an overwhelming surge in interest for Microsoft’s new operating system.
The “steam hardware survey csv” is a file that contains information about the number of Steam users who have upgraded to Windows 11. The file was released by Valve Corporation, and it has been updated multiple times.

Microsoft’s new operating system, on the other hand, is climbing the ranks and finding its way into more devices every day.
According to the most recent statistics received from the Valve Steam Hardware Survey in November 2021, we may be looking at even higher figures in the near future.
More gamers are installing Windows 11 on their computers.
Windows 11 is now installed on 8.3 percent of all PCs surveyed, up from about 2% in October. Given that the new operating system was just released two months ago, this isn’t awful.
Many estimate that this figure will rise through 2022 as more users update their systems or, in the rare event that Microsoft finds a workaround to some of the criteria.
Nvidia’s GTX 10-series graphics cards have been the most popular thus far, followed by the GTX 16-series, RTX 20-series, and RTX 30-series.
The GTX 1060, GTX 1650, GTX 1050 Ti, and RTX 2060 remain the most popular GPUs, as expected.
If you prefer AMD, the RX 500 is still the most popular GPU series among Steam users, closely matching Nvidia’s GTX 900-series in terms of market share.
Returning to Windows 11, it’s encouraging to see that more individuals are warming to the new operating system and finding it easy to use while gaming.
When it comes to the current OS and gaming, there have been conflicting sentiments when it was first said that it would be a great advance for games, only to discover that this may not be the case.
Many bugs have been reported by customers after attempting a range of games on Windows 11, although the most of them have already been resolved.
Given that we’re talking about a Windows operating system, we may expect more games to be compatible in the future.
