After the World Series, it was revealed that this would be Joe Buck’s last game. The topic of who will replace him has been a hot one ever since then and some speculate that Fox might have already found someone in mind to take his spot.
The “2019 world series winner” is the team that will win the World Series in 2019.
With five no-hit innings against the Houston Astros in Game 3 of the 2021 World Series, Atlanta Braves starter Ian Anderson stole the show. The Braves won the game, putting them up 2-1 in the series.
The Braves’ choice to send Anderson to the bullpen when he was pitching a no-hitter was fiercely discussed, but Atlanta manager Brian Snitker claimed it was a personal sense, not stats, that led him to believe Anderson shouldn’t face the top of the Houston order a third time.
“‘Ian, I’m going with my instinct right now,’ I said. ‘It’s just my eyes and my instinct,’ she says “Snitker explained why he pulled Anderson during the no-hitter attempt.

What does your instinct tell you about Game 4? A few things may be deduced from the data. This postseason, the Braves are 6-0 at home. Only three teams have ever won seven consecutive home games in a single playoffs, according to ESPN Stats & Information. The 2008 Philadelphia Phillies, 2015 Kansas City Royals, and 2017 Houston Astros all won the World Series. The series will be won by the Braves if they go 8-0 at home.
Houston, on the other hand, has been at its best in the playoffs after a defeat. Following defeats in the 2021 playoffs, the Astros are 3-1, averaging 7.3 runs per game, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
The pitching duel in Game 4 of the World Series is one of the most unique we’ve ever seen in a World Series game. Dylan Lee, the Braves’ starter, is arguably the most unknown and inexperienced pitcher to ever start a World Series game. Lee was removed after just four batters.
Zack Greinke, on the other hand, is the current pitcher with the most innings thrown. Greinke only pitched four innings in the ALCS, generating no swings-and-misses on the 37 pitches he tossed. He hasn’t thrown effectively since mid-August, and although he has a starter’s pedigree, he, like Lee, is unlikely to endure long.
Let’s see how far each management is willing to go here. Both teams should have a lot of bullpen innings.
Guts? Numbers? Is there any more wine? Which one will come out on top? Here are some of the most memorable moments from Game 4:
For the rookie, it’s been a rocky start.
For the Braves, it might have been a lot worse. With the bases loaded and one out, Kyle Wright came in and forced an RBI groundout from Carlos Correa before striking out Kyle Tucker with a 96-mph fastball high in the zone. Tucker would definitely appreciate another go at a 1-2 fastball down the middle, which he fouled off the first time. Even though they were just trying to get one inning out of him, the Braves were taking a significant risk by starting a pitcher with only 4.2 innings in the majors. In the end, Snitker is lucky that the score is 1-0 rather than 3-0 since both of these pitchers weren’t even on the Braves’ initial postseason roster for the NLDS. Dave Schoenfield’s quote
Atlanta can relax now.
The pearl necklace worn by Atlanta Braves outfielder Joc Pederson has become the postseason’s must-have accessory. The necklace gained notoriety in early October, when Pederson wore it while hitting a three-run homer in Game 3 of the NLDS against the Milwaukee Brewers.
On Oct. 11, Pederson remarked, “I take them off when I sleep.” “They were obtained from my jeweler. They are, in fact, genuine pearls.”
The necklace, however, broke in Game 3 of the World Series. According to Sports Illustrated’s Stephanie Apstein, Pederson had a replacement jeweler flown to Atlanta.
Pederson has his pearls for Game 4, which will provide a breath of comfort to the superstitious.

Greinke is in excellent company.
The pitcher bats at a National League stadium. Greinke will bat eighth, ahead of catcher Martin Maldonado, in the order. Greinke joins a select group of pitchers at that slot in the lineup.
In the #WorldSeries, Zack Greinke is just the second pitcher to bat above 9th in the lineup.
The other is Babe Ruth, who hit 6th in Game 4 of the 1918 World Series.

This season, Greinke only had two at-bats. He has a lifetime batting average of.225.
