Steam is probably the most popular name in PC gaming, but when did it become a genre? The origin of this term has been lost to time. For years, games were built on science fiction and fantasy tropes – so how did the industry shift towards an alternate universe where Victorian England was brought back from extinction?
I hope you like dungeon crawlers with a steampunk theme.
Vaporum: Lockdown will be released on December 10 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One, according to developer Fatbot Games. There will be no physical distribution; this will be a digital release.
You take on the role of Ellie Teller, a scientist who is trying to understand out what occurred within the Arx Vaporum tower. If the trailer is any indication, Ellie might have been better off staying at home.
Vaporum: Lockdown is a first-person shooter with grid-style stages. That is, instead of strolling freely anywhere, you “walk” from one grid to the next.
BioShock enthusiasts may recognize the game’s visual style. After all, this is a steampunk-inspired dungeon crawler, so don’t expect bright and cheerful hues.
Battles take place in real time, with players being able to navigate around foes thanks to the grid structure. The game has a “Stop Time Mode” that allows you to stop the action and plan your next move.
Vaporum: Lockdown is presently available on the Nintendo Switch and PC if you can’t wait for the Xbox or PlayStation versions. On Metacritic, the game presently has a 73 and a 68 for the Switch and PC editions, respectively.
The game now has 157 feedbacks on Steam, with the majority of them giving it a positive rating.

With a crucial Thanksgiving clash against the Las Vegas Raiders, the Dallas Cowboys hope to get back on track.
Dak Prescott will have to do it without Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb, unfortunately. Cooper is still on the COVID-19 list, and Lamb was unable to pass concussion protocol in time for the game on Thursday.
Nonetheless, the Cowboys’ roster is still loaded with talent, but there is one statistic that might be an issue for Prescott against the Raiders.
Dak Prescott has battled against the competition in the AFC West.
This season, Dak has a 64 percent completion rate, 228 passing yards per game, 2 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 72.6 passer rating, and a 1-2 record versus the AFC West.
This year, Dak has a 72 percent completion rate, 312 passing yards per game, 18 touchdowns, three interceptions, a 119.4 passer rating, and a 5-1 record versus the competition.

Prescott’s struggles versus the AFC West have been rather shocking.
In Week 2, the Cowboys faced the Los Angeles Chargers and came away with a win at SoFi Stadium, their sole win over that division this season.
Prescott, on the other hand, had a poor showing. He went 23-of-27 for 237 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception in the game. Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard combined for 180 yards and two touchdowns on the ground that day, saving the day.
The whole Dallas offense struck a brick block against the Denver Broncos a couple weeks ago. Prescott would not have thrown any touchdown passes against the AFC West this season if it weren’t for his two touchdown touchdowns in the fourth quarter of that game.
The Cowboys’ overall performance against the Kansas City Chiefs last week was unusual. Prescott threw two interceptions, despite Cooper’s absence.
Nonetheless, this is a troubling pattern that Prescott and Dallas are hoping will stop on Thanksgiving Day.
The Cowboys have a great chance to bounce back against the Raiders after a dismal performance against the Chiefs.
A competent defense is harmed by a bad offense that does not move and control the ball.
You can’t expect a defense to play for 35-37 minutes in back-to-back games without running out of steam. The #Raiders defense isn’t spectacular, but it’s also not receiving much help.
November 22, 2021 — Maurice Moton (@MoeMoton)
The Raiders have to be the season’s most perplexing club. They started the season 3-0 before dropping to 3-2 and are currently 5-5 and in risk of missing out entirely on the playoffs.
Derek Carr got off to a fast start this season but has since cooled down, and the squad is still dealing with the loss of Henry Ruggs.
Prescott should have no trouble scoring against the Las Vegas defense, which ranks 25th in points allowed. Even without Lamb and Cooper, the Raiders defense has given up 73 points in the last two games, so there is reason to believe the Cowboys can rebound.
Given the situation of the NFL this season, it wouldn’t be astonishing if the Cowboys were to lose to the Raiders on Thanksgiving.
With Cooper and Lamb out, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys will rely on other pass-catchers to help them overcome their troubles against the AFC West.

When the top two pass catchers aren’t in the game, it’s never a good indication. On Thanksgiving Day, though, the Cowboys are in this situation.
In these conditions, Dalton Schultz seems to be the most useful player, albeit one of Michael Gallup or Cedrick Wilson will have to step up on the perimeter.
After giving up 123 yards and two touchdowns to Joe Mixon only days ago, the Raiders should give Elliott and Pollard a lot of carries.
Without Lamb and Cooper, Kellen Moore and the Cowboys offense will have their hands tough, but having Prescott at quarterback is usually a positive sign.
Regardless, it’s unexpected that they’ve run into trouble with the AFC West this season.
Will Prescott and the Cowboys be able to break the AFC West’s losing streak?
Pro Football Reference provided the statistics.

“There are several things that contribute to good morale… One of the most important is for men to be completely engaged in productive and enjoyable job. Idleness is a breeding place for harmful organisms.” –William S. Churchill
We spoke about how laziness undermines manliness last week. Masculinity is an energy that need an outlet to be strong, vibrant, and completely tuned up. It desires to battle, struggle, compete, take risks, and explore.
Masculine energy collapses in the lack of such an outlet. Men lose their sense of purpose, self-respect, and standards, toughness, and discipline deteriorate. The outcome is often a descent into restlessness, vice, lethargy, and outright sadness.
External pressures, such as danger and hazards inherent in a natural environment, universal military conscription, occupations that demanded physical work, and so on, used to keep laziness at bay.
There is nothing outside of yourself now that will push you to embrace “the difficult life,” as Theodore Roosevelt put it. In the lack of an honor culture, there is no social guilt in putting up little effort, floating through life, and generally being satisfied with the status quo in a period of peace and prosperity.
Instead, you must find inspiration inside yourself to be your best, maximize your potential, and practice the four tactical qualities of masculinity.
We’ll go through the seven important attitude shifts that will help you transition from passive idleness to active preparation by taking the route of least resistance.
Always Prepared
I presented the notion of the “Manhood Reserve” in Semper Virilis: A Roadmap to Manhood in the Twenty-First Century.
The purpose of the National Guard, in my mind, is analogous to the ideal of contemporary masculinity. Guardsmen are citizen-soldiers, meaning they work full-time but are trained to the same standards as active-duty military troops in case they are called to serve. Guardsmen are the country’s first line of defense, ready to aid and assist in a wide range of situations – they may be dispatched by the federal government to battle abroad or by the state government to give natural disaster assistance. As a result, the Guard’s slogan is “Always Ready, Always There.”
Similarly, just because the great majority of men are not required to serve full-time in their traditional position as defenders and warriors in our contemporary historical period does not imply we should accept a life of laziness. We can keep active by being prepared to deal with any situation that arises. We may be “deployed” to any crisis by training in fitness, discipline, mental fortitude, and a broad range of both hard and soft skills. This includes geopolitical crises, natural disasters closer to home, and the obstacles that arise in our normal day-to-day lives.
Members of the National Guard are, of course, compensated and get perks in exchange for their dedication to preparedness and duty. So, why should a common person be encouraged to educate himself of his own free will?
7 Mindset Shifts to Help You Move From Passive Idleness to Active Readiness
1. Recognize that possible risks are seldom as evident as they seem.
Kate was surprised one day when the doorbell rang and she found a police officer standing there when she returned home from college the summer following her freshman year. Her sister had been involved in a major vehicle accident, and she and her family wanted to travel to the hospital as soon as possible. Kate informed me that the most vivid memory she has of the aftermath of that event is how the catastrophe struck her life like a bolt of lightning from the blue sky. The day had started off well enough: she had just returned from a run, the weather was pleasant, and the sun shone brightly. Kate said that she had unconsciously anticipated some type of build-up to such a dreadful event, such as feelings of foreboding and dreary weather.
As if it were a scene from a movie.
Unfortunately, foreboding music seldom plays immediately before the SHTF in real life. Things may change in an instant – one day you’re going about your business as usual, and the next day you lose your job, your father passes away, or a gunman goes into your store and begins shooting up the place.
Sure, there are generally years of build-up and warning indications when it comes to a large-scale geopolitical catastrophe. Even when a major danger is physically knocking on the door, history demonstrates that people tend to remain complacent; humans have a hard time believing that life will not continue as it has in the recent past.
For example, one of the most intriguing aspects of William Manchester’s Winston Churchill trilogy is the way he contrasts the Nazis’ intrigues and military build-up during the 1930s with the lackadaisical response of the rest of Europe.
During the so-called “Phoney War,” this inconsistency reached its pinnacle. After the Nazis invaded Poland in September 1939, France and Britain declared war on Germany, but nothing transpired in the next eight months (at least on land). Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain expected the war to end by the summer, and a former cabinet member said that the Allies had “discovered a new technique to wage war, without losing human life.” The fight, according to French General André Beaufre, was “a great pantomime performed out by mutual agreement” that would end in nothing.
As a consequence, British and French war preparations were mediocre at best. Churchill was frustrated by the sluggish speed with which both nations’ munitions factories were being built, and he was alarmed by how the French army’s quality was being “let to degrade through the winter”:
“Numerous duties needed to be completed: training need constant attention; defenses were far from good or comprehensive — even the Maginot Line lacked many extra field works; physical fitness necessitated exercise.” Visitors visiting the French front, on the other hand, were often surprised by the prevalent mood of calm aloofness, by the seeming low quality of the work in hand, and by the absence of evident activity of any type.”
The British military fared a bit better in their preparations, but the general public was in a “twilight mood,” as Churchill put it. Though the Germans were utilizing the pause in action to prepare for full-fledged war, the populace continued to live in denial, their thoughts turning to the same diversions and trivialities that had distracted their attention in peace:
“With a stronger overall record on European battlefields, the British should have been more realistic.” That was not the case. Rather, they were unconcerned. The Isle seemed to be in good condition; so, the Isle was in good condition. The Times had declared Britain’s ‘grim resolve’ to see it through in the fall, but English life had returned to normal nine months after the outbreak. Idle men snoozed in Hyde Park’s ‘deck chairs;’ sheep lazed away the days in London’s park enclosures, surrounded by adoring crowds at the surrounding duck ponds…
The American ‘Deep Purple’ and ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ were the most popular dance tunes elsewhere in the West End; John Gielgud was King Lear; Emlyn Williams’ Light of Heart played to packed houses; and elsewhere in the West End, the American ‘Deep Purple’ and ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ were the most popular dance tunes. Londoners were clearly more engaged in the rituals of peace than in the conflict. Swallows, cuckoos, and even nightingales have returned, according to The New York Times, which is always on the lookout for new ornithological findings.
Churchill attempted to jolt the country awake. ‘More than a million German troops, including all its active and armored divisions, are lined up ready to assault, on a few hours’ notice, all along the boundaries of Luxembourg, Belgium, and Holland,’ HMG’s first lord of the Admiralty informed his countrymen on the BBC in March. These neutral nations may be exposed to an avalanche of steel and fire at any time, and the choice lies in the hands of a tormented, demented human whom the German people have worshipped as a god, to their permanent disgrace.’ ‘There are foolish dilettanti or purblind worldlings who occasionally question us: ‘What is it that Britain and France are fighting for?’ he noted in Britain. ‘If we stopped arguing, you’d find out soon enough,’ I say.
I use WWII as an example not because I believe there is another Hitler on the horizon, but rather to highlight how difficult it is to discern when there is! People often assume that if an existential danger were to appear right on their doorstep, they would immediately identify it and prepare to battle. However, history demonstrates that dangers frequently strike without notice, and that even when there is adequate forewarning, most people will just shrug and do nothing until the door is practically slammed shut.
2. You don’t have to be paranoid to prepare.
When you hear the word “preparation,” you may think of “prepper.” When you think of preppers, you may imagine extreme survivalists with a few years’ worth of food, a weapons arsenal, and an underground bunker. This relationship is problematic because it naturally makes a guy who considers himself to be clever and sensible say, “Oh, that’s absolutely not me.”
Preparation, on the other hand, does not have to imply paranoia. It’s just a desire to be prepared, no matter what. Preparation, according to the writers of 1915’s Self-Helps for the Citizen Soldier, is the reasonable reaction to inherent risk:
“Preparedness is just another word for precaution, provision – taking steps ahead of time, making plans ahead of time to meet a potential need.”
Preparation is one of the most natural, frequent, and essential aspects of life in general. Even wild creatures plan ahead for the winter – don’t be caught off guard.
We save for old age in order to be prepared for powerlessness later in life. We provide for our family via insurance and investing, and we plan for death.
We give fire protection by keeping a fire department, and we provide criminal protection by maintaining a police department — we are prepared to meet both with appropriate means. We prepare for illness by building hospitals, and so on; the thread of readiness goes through every significant act in our life…
No one doubts the value of planning ahead to meet a potential need. If something is likely to happen, the only sensible thing to do is prepare for it.
The only issue on which there may be any doubt is if a need exists — whether the event for which preparations should be undertaken is likely.”
Is it likely that you’ll be called to battle, or that you’ll have to deliver first aid, or that you’ll have to survive in the woods with just a knife, or any of the other awful scenarios you’ve prepared for? No, no, and no. It’s possible, but it’s not probable. So, if the chances of you needing to cope with a major crisis are so remote, is it a waste of time to spend your valuable time planning for them?
To say yes, you’d be assuming that the sole advantage of practicing for a huge danger is that you’ll be prepared for the threat in and of itself. However, as we shall see, preparing for a major disaster also prepares you for little everyday obstacles (and makes you a happier, more well-rounded man to boot). While you may never have to fend off an armed assailant or rescue someone from drowning in a river, the traits of bravery, hardihood, resilience, and others will almost certainly be required every day to cope with life’s little annoyances, lead your family, and achieve in your work. As a result, seeking such training and characteristics is the most sensible thing in the universe.
Because if there’s one thing you should be afraid of in life, it’s not living a life where you never reach your full potential as a man.
3. Preparation in one area may be transferred to another.
Training in “martial” values translates to proficiency in non-military professions.
What you see going on with veteran groups like Team Rubicon and The Mission Continues is a fantastic illustration of this. Former personnel of the military who have been properly educated by the government to murder adversaries abroad are put to work by these organizations providing disaster relief or launching community service initiatives. These veterans may employ many of the talents and attributes they learned in war, such as discipline, improvisation, collaboration, and preparation, to aid their fellow man, even when they aren’t carrying weapons and shooting bad men. Team Rubicon’s military fitness and discipline training prepares them for the physically and psychologically hard job that occurs during disaster recovery. They can also carry out their task more efficiently and effectively thanks to the mission planning abilities they obtained during patrols and firefights.
Readiness should not just be seen as a defensive strategy, but also as an attacking one. You don’t only plan for crises; you also prepare for opportunities, which may be just as difficult to anticipate coming as dangers! If you aren’t ready to take advantage of a growth opportunity when it presents itself, it will most likely pass you by.
Apart from a photograph of Theodore Roosevelt, the poem “Opportunity” by John James Ingalls hung in Theodore Roosevelt’s executive office at the White House:
I am the master of human fates. On my heels are fame, love, and money. I wander through cities and fields; I penetrate far deserts and oceans, and passing by Hovel and market and palace, I knock uninvited once at every gate, early or late; if sleeping, arise; if feasting, rise before I turn away. It’s the hour of destiny. And those who follow me achieve every condition that mortals want, and defeat every opponent save death: but those who question or hesitate, condemned to failure, poverty, and suffering, Seek me in vain and futilely implore— I do not respond, and I do not return.
4. Preparation is a kind of warfare.
Part of the reason it’s difficult to feel excited about preparing for things that may or may not happen is because it doesn’t seem very exciting. We want to be there in the thick of it, right on the front lines.
While it’s true that preparation for action will never be as fulfilling as action itself, it might be more significant than you realize if you change your mentality.
“The actual war is the exceedingly acute preparation for war by the nations,” William James said. and that the conflicts are only a public demonstration of the skill acquired during the ‘peace’ period.”
Or, as I discovered when playing high school football, games are won during practice on Monday afternoons, not on the field on Friday evenings.
The fight is in the preparation. And once you realize this, you’ll be more motivated to devote the time necessary to perfect mental and physical talents.
Best of all, if you start training and practicing in anything, you’ll discover that it’s a lot of fun – that prepping for an event may often be more enjoyable than the experience itself. In his book The Book of Camping and Woodcraft (1910), the outdoorsman Horace Kephart wrote:
“Field equipment is a fantastic way to pass the time during the winter months when you’re stuck indoors.” Nothing replaces the buoyant optimism of youth like refurbishing one’s gear and arranging travels for the following holiday, in my opinion. Solomon understood the human heart no better than the wonderful old sportsman who told me, “It’s not the guy who’s catching a lot of fish and shooting a lot of game who’s having a nice time; it’s the one who’s getting ready to do it.”
5. Inactivity is not the polar opposite of busyness.
“He has nothing to stop him except too much idleness, which, I’ve seen, takes up a man’s time much more thoroughly and leaves him less in control than any kind of work.” Edmund Burke (Edmund Burke)
After Pancho Villa’s soldiers made incursions into American territory in 1916, President Woodrow Wilson called up the National Guard to deter future Mexican aggression. A hundred thousand soldiers were drafted and stationed in mobilization camps along the border, but they were given no specific task other than to maintain watch. Morale immediately plummeted, and many of the men started frequenting local saloons and brothels, whining about the circumstances, and even deserting. The Secretary of War enlisted the help of a colleague, Raymond F. Fosdick, to visit the camps. Fosdick discovered that the men’s health was failing as a result of their idleness:
“There was nowhere for the soldiers to go to forget about their tiredness, homesickness, and loneliness… There was nowhere to go to get away from the monotony of practice and the nearly excruciating heat, even if only for a short period. There was no planned entertainment, and there was no reasonable distraction.”
There were plenty of vices, but nothing to “substitute for the things we want to drive out,” according to Fosdick.
Fosdick determined that incorporating an athletics program into the military considerably enhanced morale among British and Canadian soldiers, and urged that the US do the same.
As a result, in order to prepare American soldiers for their engagement in WWI, the Army assigned an athletic director to each training camp and required the troops to participate in games and sports on a daily basis.
The program’s results were reported by a sports editor in a newspaper:
“Never in the history of our nation has there been such a vast number of guys involved in sports.” Football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, push ball, medicine ball, soccer, track and field sports, and especially boxing are all engaged. Even the mountaineers and country lads, who have never seen a pair of boxing gloves in their lives, are boxing. Men are learning to ignore being bumped. They gobble it up.”
Aside from typical sports, the guys engaged in less structured activities such as “swat tag,” “prisoner’s base,” and “duck-on-the-rock.”
The sports program was created to provide the men a respite from the monotony of exercises, calisthenics, and inspections, as well as to help them develop confidence, competitive spirit, resilience, attentiveness, leadership, and collaboration. And the program followed the soldiers abroad, with “athletic kits” including boxing equipment, footballs, soccer balls, baseballs, and other sports equipment being sent out with each unit to Europe.
“It was demonstrated during the war that nothing was so valuable as competitive games in keeping alive the interest of the men and in preventing discontent and homesickness during a long training period or after a protracted tour of duty in the front lines,” according to a post-war report on the program’s success.
Essentially, the military discovered that merely keeping troops occupied is insufficient to retain their esprit de corps. The routine of digging trenches and drilling, as well as the stress of warfare, kept certain aspects of their brains and bodies active while allowing others to go dormant. The guys need not simply action, but a wide range of it.
A significant lesson may be learned by all guys here. Many men aren’t idle in the traditional sense; they’re quite busy with work, children, school, and so on. They may even feel overworked and exhausted as a result of all they have to accomplish. Despite their busy schedules, they remain restless, sad, and curiously static.
That’s because, although some aspects of their personality are overworked, others, particularly those relating to their basic masculinity, remain completely untapped. In certain sections, they’re really active, while in others, they’re completely idle.
Sure, you’re putting in long hours as a corporate warrior as well as a father and husband, but when was the last time you felt compelled to work more because of the spirit of competition? When was the last time you physically moved with a group of other men? When was the last time you were in a state of flow, or sensed your boundaries, or threw or received a punch?
It doesn’t imply you’re not idle just because you’re busy.
6. Keep going; you lose what you don’t utilize.
We frequently believe that we may keep portions of ourselves asleep and they will just remain that way, waiting for us to reawaken them. But the fact is that the “use it or lose it” approach applies to every aspect of our physical and mental makeup. Swimming against the stream of degeneration is a constant in life; if you’re not continually putting in the effort to progress, you’ll get washed back.
“If you’re not becoming better today, you’re growing worse,” my high school football coach used to say.
Some shark species must constantly move forward in order to breathe oxygen, which they get from the water that flows into their mouths and over their gills. The sharks breathed more effectively while they were swimming, even when scientists kept them immobile and let a current pump water into their mouths. To put it another way, it took less work for them to breathe when moving than while they were at rest. And, rather of storing energy to compensate for the lack of oxygen in the water, these sharks open their jaws wider and swim quicker to avoid drowning.
That’s a fairly good analogy for masculinity.
7. Duty takes precedence above self-interest.
The Secret Service has been beset by embarrassing gaffes and dangerous lapses in recent years, including two drunk senior agents crashing their government car into a security gate near the White House, a dozen agents bringing prostitutes back to their hotel room during a world leaders summit in Colombia, agents getting drunk and passing out in a hotel room hallway in advance of the president’s trip to the Netherlands, and allowing a masked assassin to enter the White House.
In many respects, working as a Secret Service agent is the apex of keeping preparedness in the face of monotony and seeming safety. Nothing is going to happen on your watch 99.9% of the time, but you must be completely attentive and prepared for the unexpected. 1% of the population
There’s no way to hack your way to the drive to maintain such alertness and preparedness. Congress can’t legislate it, and your bosses can’t enforce it. It all boils down to self-discipline – knowing what you’re supposed to do and doing it. Indeed, some insiders believe the Secret Service’s ailing esprit de corps — a sense of being committed to a code of behavior that must be followed no matter what, regardless of sentiments or circumstances — is to blame. This sort of honor culture cannot be instilled in the Secret Service from the top down; it must emerge organically from the ranks.
No one can compel you to follow or even believe in the traditional code of masculinity, which states that men should be ready to serve as warriors and guardians of their nation, family, and kin anytime they are called upon. The decision to live a life of honor must originate from inside, and it must be renewed every day.
Preparedness Training
The most apparent treatment for boredom is to get busy. But, what exactly should you do?
Any mental/physical/hard/soft skill that develops qualities like discipline, focus, courage, hardihood, improvisation, leadership, teamwork, and resilience; strengthens your mind, body, and soul; and better prepares you to handle a variety of challenges and seize unforeseen opportunities is worthwhile. Those that are most closely aligned with the four tactical values of masculinity — strength, bravery, honor, and mastery — should be sought for in particular. To be able to check off all of the abilities on this list would go a long way toward active preparedness and making you a more confident, competent, and content guy.
You may follow this route on your own, but the best way to grow masculinity is in a community of like-minded guys who push each other and hold each other responsible. I know of a few churches and high school/college organizations that have established their own similar initiatives. I also know of groups of friends who just chose to begin meeting together on a regular basis for the sake of fraternal bonding and personal development.
Of course, having a planned “curriculum” for such a program — with specified objectives, motivational rewards, accountability trackers, and so on — makes things a lot simpler than attempting to build and carry out a men’s society of mental/physical/tactical growth on your own.
That’s why we’re working on the Semper Virilis initiative right now. Drop your email in the form below if you’d want to be the first to hear about specifics and when it debuts, as well as a chance to be a beta tester.

In all competitions, Sadio Mane has scored in five straight Liverpool appearances at Anfield.
With a crushingly ordinary win at Anfield, Liverpool snapped Arsenal’s 10-game undefeated run in all competitions.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the first half, heading home Trent Alexander-free-kick. Arnold’s
Before Mohamed Salah tucked home a Mane cross, Diogo Jota took advantage of a Nuno Tavares error to roll into an empty net.
Alexander-Arnold was once again the playmaker, this time teeing up Japanese replacement Takumi Minamino to make it 4-0 with his first touch, just 48 seconds after coming on.
Liverpool moves up to second place in the Premier League with the win, while Arsenal remains in fifth place.
Liverpool beat Arsenal 4-0, and Jurgen Klopp was pleased with his team’s “mature” performance.
For the most of the game, it was a dull affair between the two long-time rivals, but Liverpool demonstrated their worth in the second half with a merciless showing.
Before the interval, Jurgen Klopp’s side enjoyed the most of possession and the better opportunities, with Salah, Alexander-Arnold, and Thiago all being denied by Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Ramsdale was kept busy throughout, reacting quickly to prevent Mane from scrambling the ball in off the floor and making a good save to deny Jota a second goal later on.
Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka posed a counter-attacking danger, but Alisson was at ease when needed upon, and Liverpool’s centre-back combination of Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip were sturdy.
Despite the four goals, it was seldom a lively match, however a touchline brawl between Klopp and Mikel Arteta in the first half elicited a response from the spectators.
Liverpool has had a pleasant evening.
In the first half, both Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp received yellow cards following a touchline brawl.
After West Ham’s defeat against Wolves, Liverpool headed into the game knowing that a win would lift them up to second position.
Arsenal, who had been in terrific form and were just two points behind Liverpool before the game, had few opportunities at Anfield.
When Saka and Aubameyang were able to get behind Liverpool’s defense, it was usually in wide areas, and Fabinho offered a fantastic shield in midfield to keep them out of trouble.
Despite Liverpool’s lack of enthusiasm in the first half, Mane scored the game’s opening goal, thanks to Alexander-ever-reliable Arnold’s pass.
Liverpool 4-0 Arsenal: Mikel Arteta believes Arsenal ‘threw the game away’ in the second half.
That gave them a platform in the second half, and after Jota made it 2-0, Liverpool were able to take advantage of Arsenal’s inability to press people forward.
Recent meetings between the two have been more dramatic, but this was as easy as Liverpool could have wished for, reiterating their championship challenge.

Battlefield 2042 was released globally on Friday, and developer Dice isn’t going to let the game languish without any upgrades for very long. A developer blog regarding the road ahead gives some insight into the game’s next two upgrades and what the developers are focused on with them.
The blog begins with an analysis of server and game performance, noting that hitmarkers do not always register properly and players do not always spawn onto servers with their desired loadout. The former is said to be difficult to duplicate but is being looked into, while the latter will be addressed in the game’s second update. The developers have also uncovered and corrected a significant problem with the Xbox Series X/S version, while PC users can expect further improvements in the future to minimize CPU load and boost framerates.
The developers then discussed weapon spread, stating that versions 2 and 3 would address unforeseen weapon behavior. Weapon spread will be corrected worldwide while zoomed in and moving, spread decreasing quicker and sooner when pacing shots, and spread being excessively high when players run and then zoom in with Portal weapons will all be addressed in the near future.
Finally, owing to users creating XP farms, the programmers address the temporary suspension of XP gains in Solo, Co-Op, and Custom Portal Experiences. Those shutdowns have been deleted as of this past weekend, since XP limits are finally operating as planned.
Update 2 is planned to be released tomorrow, followed by update 3 in early December and a fourth update before the Christmas season. The developers will also discuss the game’s first season, which is set to launch in early 2022.

Drew Brees is a New Orleans legend. He played quarterback for the New Orleans Saints for 15 of his 20 NFL seasons. Brees opted to go on a new adventure once his football career ended. The future Hall of Famer switched careers to sports journalism, which set him up for a memorable Thanksgiving in New Orleans.
On Thanksgiving, Drew Brees will announce the Saints-Bills game.

Drew Brees currently works for NBC Sports’ Football Night in America as an NFL commentator. He comes on the show once a week to analyze the day’s events and talk about the next Sunday Night Football showdown.
On Thanksgiving Day, NBC will air the late game between the New Orleans Saints and the Buffalo Bills. This time, Brees isn’t simply going to cover the game. He’s really taking his first steps inside the broadcast booth.
With Michelle Tafoya reporting from the sidelines, the former Saints quarterback will be calling the game with Mike Tirico.
The atmosphere in the Caesars Superdome will likely be electrifying, particularly with both the Saints and the Bills playing for pride and playoff implications.
Drew Brees’ first time announcing an NFL game takes place in the city where he assisted in the rebuilding of a team.
Drew Brees accomplished pretty about everything on the football field. He’s been to 13 Pro Bowls, won a Super Bowl, and established other records throughout his career. He’s now settling into the next chapter of his career.
Brees’ enthusiasm for the game couldn’t keep him away from it for long, even if he wasn’t playing anymore. He discussed the difficulty of transitioning from the field to the broadcast booth in an interview with The Dan Patrick Show.
Brees said, “It’s a different skill set.” “It’s a combination of muscles.” To begin with, there is a distinction to be made between broadcasting and in-studio work. Broadcasting is similar to playing a game to me. In the same manner, I prepare and watch movies. I consider how I would approach the opposition squad. It’s just a question of being able to communicate with the folks who are listening and watching.
Working in the studio at NBC Sports, according to Brees, poses a unique challenge.
“You walk into the studio and it’s a lot faster,” he said. “You have a lot more work to do in a short period of time. You’re attempting to provide a summary of the events of the full day. College football is broadcasting, and NFL is in-studio. You must have a broad understanding of the basic landscape of both.
Drew Brees seemed to be becoming more at ease on set each week. He’ll have a great post-playing career if he applies the same dedication to broadcasting as he did to the game.
On his return to New Orleans, the former quarterback speaks out.
It’s impossible to discuss the New Orleans Saints without mentioning Drew Brees.
After Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on the city of New Orleans, the 42-year-old former quarterback stepped in to aid. His football skills and leadership off the field shone brightly at a difficult period.
Brees has an unique affinity with New Orleans after such a lengthy career in the NFL.
During the Saints-Bills game, the All-Pro will most likely have to keep his cool. He’ll be visiting the Superdome for the first time since his retirement, and it’ll definitely be a memorable occasion.
“Unfortunately, my last experience in the Dome was with no fans,” Brees added. “It’s been a long since I’ve been in the Dome with all that excitement and the chanting Who Dat country.” This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It’ll be strange since I’m there to broadcast a game, but it’ll be amazing to have that feeling again.
At halftime of the game, the Saints will commemorate No. 9. Over the years, his contributions to the organization have been significant.
Even though Drew Brees isn’t in uniform, his high football IQ will be on full show on Thanksgiving.
Pro Football Reference provided all stats.

We’re all searching for methods to save money in this bad economy. Doing your own vehicle maintenance is one method to save money. How to replace your own oil has previously been explained. Today, we’ll look at another simple maintenance task that you may do yourself.
Your car’s tires may quickly turn into a money hole if you’re not attentive. Tires are not inexpensive. A brand new one may cost upwards of $80. You’ll spend at least $400 on a new pair of tires per year if you replace them every year. Boo.
Rotating your tires on a regular basis is a simple strategy to increase the life of your tires. Tire rotation entails moving the location of each tire on the vehicle. Some guys never get their tires rotated, and those who do generally only give it a quick lubrication. However, most establishments would charge them at least $20 for this easy 15-minute job. By doing it yourself, you can save money. We’ll show you how in today’s article.
Why Should You Rotate Your Tires?
The wear patterns on the front and rear tires are distinct. The front tires, for example, bear more than 60% of your car’s weight; as a result, front tires wear out quicker than rear tires. Additionally, turning causes the front tires to wear at different rates. In the United States, we tend to make left turns quicker than right ones. This increases the weight on the right front tire, causing it to wear out quicker than the left. You end up with uneven tread wear after hundreds of hours of driving.
By altering the placements of your tires, rotating tires equalizes these natural wear patterns. You’ll have a smoother and safer ride if you rotate your tires on a regular basis. More significantly (at least for me), increasing the life of your tires will save you money in the long run.
Oh, and flipping tires around is also a macho activity.
When Should You Rotate Your Tires?
The suggested tire rotation schedule may be found in your car’s owner’s handbook. Tires should be rotated every 5,000 miles, according to most manufacturers. Rotating your tires is simple to remember if you do it every time you replace your car’s oil.
Needed Equipment
A jack for your car. Although you may use the jack that came with your automobile to rotate your tires, it is not suggested. It’s designed to raise your automobile for a brief period of time so you can replace a tire swiftly. Using a hydraulic floor jack is the safest option. A decent floor jack will cost you about $100, but your safety is well worth the money. A vehicle jack may also be used for other maintenance tasks.
Jack takes a stand. You’ll need some jack stands to rest the vehicle on while you change the tires. A good pair of jack stands will set you back about $30.
You can make a jack stand out of a cinderblock and a two-by-four if you don’t want to spend the money. To avoid scratching the bottom of your automobile, just put the cinderblock beneath a wheel and the two by four on top of the cinderblock. Lower the automobile jack to the point where the car is resting on the cinderblock and two-by-four. Wala! Jack stands in a flash!
Tire Rotation Pattern: Non-directional or Directional?
We need to know what pattern we’ll use to rotate our tires before we start releasing those lug nuts. The manner in which you rotate your tires is determined by a number of criteria, the most important of which is whether your vehicle has directional or non-directional tires.
When it comes to directional tires, there are a few things to keep in mind. Directional tires feature a “one-way” tread pattern that is tailored for the direction the tires spin on the automobile, thus they may be used on either the left or right side of the vehicle. The grooves are oriented to improve handling and channel water out from beneath the tire on wet terrain, decreasing hydroplaning and boosting wet traction.
The direction of rotation of the tire is indicated by little arrows or triangles on the sidewall.
Simply swap the front right tire for the rear right tire and the front left tire for the back left tire to rotate directional tires, as shown:
Rotating Non-Directional Tires is a simple process. Non-directional tires have a tread pattern that allows the tire to be put on the wheel in any direction of rotation. When you rotate the tires, you may alter which side they are on.
Use the cross pattern to spin non-directional tires. Move the front tires to the opposite sides of the rear axle in rear-wheel drive cars: left-front to right-rear and right-front to left-rear. The rear tires are straightened out. This is how it appears visually:
On front-wheel-drive automobiles, just reverse the procedure. Move the front tires straight back and the rear tires to the opposite sides of the front tires.
Is it possible to rotate the spare in?
Some ancient automobile maintenance manuals advise drivers to use their spare tire to give one of the other tires a much-needed rest. The issue with this advise is that most current spare tires aren’t built to be driven for long periods of time. They’re usually smaller, lighter in weight, and have a shorter tread depth. They’re just meant to get you to a shop where the original tire can be repaired. That is all there is to it.
Some vehicles still come with full-size spare tires that match the vehicle. They are often seen in off-road vehicles and many SUVs. It’s a good idea to rotate your spare tire into use if you have a vehicle with a matching spare tire. The proposed rotation is seen in the image below:
The Best Way to Rotate Your Tires
20 minutes are required.
1. Put the parking brake on. It’s just for your own protection.
2. Loosen all of your wheels’ lug nuts. You don’t want to remove them entirely just yet. Loosening them now will make unscrewing them much simpler when the vehicle is raised.
3. Using a vehicle jack, raise one wheel and set a jack stand below it. If you just have one or two jack stands (or cinder blocks), you’ll need to perform some mental planning before you start jacking to figure out how you’ll lower and raise your automobile. Because you have fewer stands, you’ll have to lower and raise your automobile more often to swap them out. Despite the additional work, you won’t be on the job for much more than 20 minutes. Some folks I’ve seen put their automobile on all four jack stands. It’s not the safest thing to do, but it will help you do the task quicker since you won’t have to replace out jack stands.
4. Remove the tires and rotate them according to the manufacturer’s recommendations for your tire type. When reinstalling a tire on a wheel mount, tighten the lug nuts as much as possible by hand.
5. Remove the jack stands and lower the automobile. Tighten the nuts considerably further using the lug wrench. Working the lug nuts diagonally from one to the next is the optimum method. It seems to be a star pattern. This ensures that the screws are tightened evenly. The brake rotor might be warped if the lug nuts are tightened unevenly.
When tightening lug nuts, make a star pattern.
That concludes our discussion. Now all you have to do is write down the mileage when you rotated your tires and remember to do it again in 5,000 miles.
